What are bioplastics? - a picture should be next to the with a de

Our bio-plastic tubes are derived from sugar cane. These tubes are not only made from renewable resources. Still, they are also fully bio-degradable, meaning they won't contribute to the growing problem of plastic waste in our oceans and landfills.

Bioplastics are made from renewable resources such as sugarcane and vegetable fats and oils. They are designed to break down much faster than traditional plastics, making them an eco-friendly alternative. Bioplastics can be either biodegradable or compostable, meaning they will break down into natural elements such as water and carbon dioxide, leaving behind no harmful residue.

Our outer packaging is biodegradable cardboard sourced from FSC-regulated forests. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a global non-profit organisation that promotes responsible forest management, ensuring that the trees used for our packaging are replaced and the forests are not over-exploited. We've used water-based inks in our packaging, making it eco-friendly and biodegradable, as they contain no toxic chemicals or plastic particles.

Our mission to be environmentally friendly goes beyond our packaging. We use only natural, sustainably sourced ingredients in our products, and we're constantly striving to reduce our carbon footprint through our manufacturing and distribution processes. This dedication to sustainability is at the core of everything we do.

At SOM Skin, we're committed to doing our part to protect the environment, and our packaging choices are just one way we're working to achieve that goal. By choosing our products, you're joining us in this important mission.
